Potential USB driver conflict issue
Note: This potential problem occurs when you install both Reply Plus and Reply Worldwide
USB drivers on the same computer.
The Worldwide base station contains an FTDI microchip to enable USB communications which
may be configured to supply a specific Vendor ID ( VID ) and/or a specific Product ID ( PID ) to
uniquely identify a product within a company. In doing so the device will also need a specialized
driver that recognizes both the VID and PID of the product. Currently this driver is supplied to
customers on Fleetwood Inc. product CDs or on the
www.replysystems.com website.
With the release of the new WRS970 Reply Plus product, it was found that there may be
incompatibilities between the Fleetwood specific Worldwide driver and the generic FTDI USB
native drivers used with Plus. These incompatibilities were found to be inconsistent across a
variety of operating systems and PC configurations.
In order to combat these incompatibilities Fleetwood Group, Inc. is releasing software
(CRS940BaseUSBUpdatesetup.exe ) that will configure the Worldwide base to use the latest FTDI
drivers.
