What I did:

• took an other Compaq N610c
• formated the harddisk
• installed Windows XP SP2 German
• installed all patches via windows update
• installed Office 2003 pro German
• installed all office patches via Microsoft update
• installed PowerCom 2.10 (and the USB drivers)
• open sample.ppt
• click on "PowerCom -> system -> "Find a base station"
• when the base station is found I double click on the base station
• I get "Runtime error 13" see attached screen shot

PS: Impromptu is working on that laptop so I would like to reinstall my Laptop with the PowerCom registration too. Is this possible?

Yes, you can re-activate PowerCom on same machine.

thank you for the info. Reactivating after reinstalling the OS and office and PowerCom worked without any problems.
